Turmoil is an indie simulation game developed by Gamious that takes place during the 19th century oil rush in North America. Players take on the role of an oil tycoon looking to strike it rich by drilling for oil and selling it for a profit.
The game is divided into two parts: the drilling phase and the selling phase. In the drilling phase, players use a scanning tool to locate oil reserves and then select a plot of land to drill. They must manage resources such as money, workers, and upgrades to their equipment in order to extract as much oil as possible.
During the selling phase, players have to sell their oil to the highest bidder in town. They can choose to sell at a low price and quickly earn some small profits, or they can hold out for higher offers and risk losing money if the price drops. In addition, players must carefully manage their expenses, as they must pay wages and upkeep for their rig even when they are not drilling.
Turmoil features charming graphics and simple but engaging gameplay that offers a fun challenge for players of all skill levels. It also offers a multiplayer mode where players can challenge each other to see who can become the most successful oil baron.
